Through a Civitas International Programs partnership between California and Ghana, teachers in Los Angeles County, California have adapted and added to the lessons to teach K-12 students about the history, culture, and democracies in West Africa. Teacher-designed lessons include lesson plans and worksheets to teach about past and present cultural groups. Lesson subjects range from language arts to mathematics, art, and social studies.
