The Center for Civic Education is currently hiring a Manager of Curriculum and Civic Learning Events.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of National Programs and Professional Development, the Manager of Curriculum and Civic Learning Events will lead the development, implementation, and scaling of innovative civic education curricular and professional learning (PL) materials for the Center’s flagship program, Project Citizen. A key focus will be integrating social and emotional learning supports (SEL) into the curricular program. The Manager will collaborate with educators, state program coordinators, and communities—particularly underserved populations—to ensure equitable access to high-quality civic education. Working with the Center’s Core Programs Team, the Manager will apply creativity, innovation, and a lens towards accessibility to enhance and expand programs that engage civic education leaders, educators, and students nationwide. This role will ensure that the Center continues to empower educators and students to become active, informed participants in their communities through Project Citizen and We the People.
