Zelalem Bogale

Zelalem Bogale is Senior In-House Counsel at Nevada Energy where he handles procurement and renewable generation, distribution, and storage projects. He earned his undergraduate degree in Philosophy at the University of Nevada, Reno, and his J.D. at California Western School of Law. He served as a judicial law clerk at the Nevada Supreme Court and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada and teaches race, law, and criminal justice at the University of Nevada, Reno. He is a proud alumnus of We the People and a member of Nevada’s 1999 State Championship Team. He currently serves as co-coordinator of We the People in Northern Nevada and as a member of the Center for Civic Education’s National Advisory Council.
