We the People ⇄ State Standards
We the People ⇄ Advanced Placement Courses

In Advanced Placement United States History (APUSH), students will study the cultural, economic, political, and social developments that have shaped the United States from c. 1491 to the present. Instruction focuses on analyzing texts, visual sources, and other historical evidence and writing essays expressing historical arguments.

In Advanced Placement United States Government and Politics (AP Gov), students will study the key concepts and institutions of the political system and culture of the United States. Instruction focuses on reading, analyzing, and discussing the U.S. Constitution and other documents, as well as completing a research or applied civics project.

The Center has created crosswalks that correlate our We the People: The Citizen & the Constitution textbook to AP learning objectives for both APUSH and AP Gov.
