James Madison Legacy Project in Full Swing

The professional development sessions for Cohort 1 teachers of the James Madison Legacy Project are off to a great start. The Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Washington, D.C, partnership held a combined two-day kick-off seminar in the new conference facilities at Mt. Vernon. Learn more.

Wisconsin Project Citizen Workshop to Be Held in February

The Wisconsin Humanities Council has approved funding to conduct a daylong Project Citizen workshop on Saturday, February 13, in Madison at the American Family Insurance Training Facility. There is no charge to participating teachers. Each participant will receive workshop materials, a Project Citizen sample text, guidelines for meeting Wisconsin's Model Academic Standards for Social Studies and Language Arts, and methods to use the materials in a variety of courses. Moroccan Youth Showcase Project Citizen

The Moroccan Center for Civic Education, the Center's Civitas International Programs partner in Morocco, organized a Project Citizen showcase and graduation ceremony for young people in the English Access Microscholarship Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. Learn more.

Partnership for 21st Century Learning Exemplar Program Applications Now Available!

Now in it's third year, the 21st Century Learning Exemplar Program is a cornerstone for the next stage of the 21st century skills movement. P21 is working to identify, document, promote and celebrate examples of successful 21st century learning. This program provides educators and communities a variety of models to draw from and offers policy makers and P21 State Partners local examples to help encourage their support. The deadline for submitting an application is January 15, 2016. Learn more.
