We need your help! The Center for Civic Education was recently awarded a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Education to conduct a five-year series of Presidential Academies for teachers and Congressional Academies for students. Participants will be immersed in the study of constitutional history and principles following the intellectual framework of the We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution curriculum. For the first time since the Center has received federal funding, we are being asked to share in the cost of the grant, and we must raise $32,000 to meet that obligation. Your donation will help send 51 teachers from every state and the District of Columbia and 102 students to an intensive summer workshop, where they will learn about the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Gettysburg Address, and America's founding principles.
